Family First Maternity Center is Redding’s first of its kind Medi-Cal midwifery practice. We provide prenatal, birth, postpartum, and lactation care to the community with a focus on accessibility, empowerment, and support for every family. Midwifery Care is now accessible for all. Private pay midwifery also available.

Family First Maternity Center is a licensed midwife practice, existing to expand access to midwifery care. Midwives are experts in normal pregnancy and birth and our scope of practice is low-risk pregnancies.

We accept Medi-Cal and Partnership insurance and take private cash pay clients as well!

  • Routine Prenatal Care

    All your labs, ultrasounds, routine prenatal visits and pregnancy education delivered by our midwives

  • Routine Postpartum Care

    All your postpartum labs, screening, education and three 45 min check ins for you post delivery. Newborn education, lactation support and care delivered by our midwives

  • Home Birth / Birth Center Birth

    MediCAL and Partnership Families desiring and meeting criteria for safe out of hospital birth may hire one of our privately contracted midwives for a reduced rate.

    Private pay clients will receive full spectrum birth services under the full fee package.
